We Are Northpointe

Northpointe Church is a place where: God is seen… love is felt… and lives are changed. At Northpointe Church we feel: People should be able to come as they are and who they are, and not feel judged. Church is about being your self. If you dress up or dress down, either way, you’ll find yourself fitting right in with people who genuinely care about you.

The vision of North Pointe Church is simple: Reaching Up, Reaching In, & Reaching Out.

Reaching Up: To our loving God. who has reconciled us by His Son Jesus Christ. Reaching In: To the church body, so that you can grow in spiritual maturity from grace to grace. Reaching Out: To our community and the world, with an influence in serving them. Our Church services are predictably unpredictable. You can be assured that no two services are exactly alike. The same great elements are always there, like great worship, relevant teaching, vivid illustrations, and life changing moments with God, but always topped off with that little extra element of surprise. Life is surround sound, full color, and sensory overload. Shouldn’t church be too?

Our journey began in November 1962 inside two former army barracks. The church, Trinity Chapel, was pastored by Rev. Naomi Thomison for its first 11 years. Four other pastors served over the next 6 years before Rev. & Mrs. Billy Sanders came. They served as pastors from 1977-1980 and presently since 1983. After their return, they established a child care center and changed the church name to Trinity Living Center following a major building program. Currently, the church has entered into another building program to add a 5,000 square foot facility to house the child care center, and renovation of the former center into a children’s church auditorium.  Northpointe Church will continue caring and sharing Jesus as an inter-denominational church for all believers with a child care center, and plans to start a private Christian school.
